General technical data
Switch distance
The switch distance is the distance within the magnetic switch will be actuated through approach of a magnet. The length of the switch distance is dependent on the intensity of the magnetic field and on the sensivity of the reed contact.

Switch hysteresis
The switching hysteresis is the differential distance between switch-on and switch-off position. The switching hysteresis mainly depends on the type of the reed contact.

Repeating accuracy of the switch point
For magnetic switches the repeating accuracy of the switch point is very high. The repeating accuracy is about 0,02 mm in constant environmental conditions.

Reaction time (incl. bouncing time)
The reaction time is between 0,6 and 3 ms depending on the size of the reed contact.

Release time
The release time is between 0,05 and 2 ms depending on the size of the reed contact.

Switching speed
For magnetic switches with reed contacts up to 300 Hz, depending on the size and type of the reed contact.
For switches with hall element sensor up to 100 kHz, depending on the version of the hall element.

Resistance against vibrations
The mechanical resistance against vibrations is between 10 up to max. 30 G. For magnetic switches with a spring assembly, this resistance is lower, magnetic sensors with hall elements are less insensitive to mechanical vibrations.

System of protection
All switches except float magnetic switch : IP 67, protection against dust, protection against immersion in water
Float magnetic switch: IP 68, protection against dust, protection against immersion in water

Rupturing capacity - Example
The max. switching capacity is the product of switching voltage and switching current. For alternating currents, current and voltage also have to be multiplied by the power factor cos φ. The individual limit values should not be exceeded. The operating range of the switch is shown in the hyperbola in the diagram below.
Max. switching power = 30 VA. For a constant voltage of 24 V the following switch current has to be maintained:
Imax = 30 VA : 24 V = 1.25 A.

Temperature range
-5°C ... +60°C (standard) If desired, temperature range can be enlarged -40°C ... +150°C
